Top ADFCA delegation visits SIAL Jakarta

As Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority is gearing up to welcome SIAL Middle East Food Exhibition in the capital next month, a delegation including Director General, H.E Rashid Al Shariqi and executive directors of some organizational sectors of the authority has visited SIAL Jakarta, in order to experience best practices in organizing and hosting.

The team had top level meetings with the event organizers as well as the exhibitors and experts who flew in the capital city of Indonesia to be part of the mega exhibition in the food and beverages industry which featured more than 1000 exhibitors hailing from 35 countries and attracted 50 thousand visitors from across the globe.

The team also had special meetings with representatives of government authorities, private sector stake holders and a certain entities that support Interfood SIAL Jakarta 2015.

The team toured various pavilions in the exhibition and utilized the opportunity to invite potential exhibitors and food industry experts to SIAL Abu Dhabi which is all set to run from 7 to 9 of December.

In this regard H.E Rashid Al Shariqi, Director General of ADFCA said: "The visit reflexes ADFCA's keenness and deep routed commitment towards food security and developing a sustainable food sector in Abu Dhabi. ADFCA has always been in the fore to promote, organize and support global events such as SIAL and that are instrumental in attracting innovation to Abu Dhabi"

He hoped that the top level visit will have positive impact in the mechanism for organizing and hosting of SIAL Abu Dhabi as the visit was successful in terms of experiencing the best practices and sharing of knowledge.

"Jakarta experience will enable us to pin point the expectations of the global visitors as well as the latest trend in the food and beverages industry and will guide us to organize the Abu Dhabi version according to the new dynamics in the global food events scenario and with giving highlight to UAE's potentiality to be a forerunner stake holder in the innovative food trade now evolving up" he added saying.

He also stressed the pivotal role played by the annual SIAL exhibition in clubbing trade with innovation and pointed that hosting such an event will shed light on what Abu Dhabi has been striving for in the area of food safety, food security and food safety awareness which have now become top priorities of any developed and advanced country in the world.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and with the strategic partnership of ADFCA, SIAL Abu Dhabi will have its sixth version this year with a number of new additions to its menu.
