Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) organized two workshops over two days to introduce to the Authority's inspectors the new rules and regulations governing licensing and operations of groceries in Abu Dhabi city. The workshop touched upon the latest action plans approved in this regard.
The workshops, attended by 90 inspectors from the various food safety units, were aimed at acquainting the inspectors with the baqqala project (groceries) and the new standards and specifications it entailed. This will prepare them for the implementation phase of the project, which is currently on and will last until year end.
During the workshop, the inspectors aired their own views on the subject and made recommendations and suggestions. A film detailing the project and its specifications was screened for the inspectors so they gain a clear understanding of the new regulations.
