�In Love of the UAE' Map Inaugurated at Date Palm Festival

His Excellency Rashid Mohamed Al Shariqi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA), opened the �In love of the UAE� map laid down as part of the new activities introduced at the Emirates International Date Palm Festival this year. This feature is introduced to celebrate the 41st National Day of the country.

ADFCA Director General signed on the map, followed by a large number of officials from the Authority and visitors. The festival is full of the flavor of the 41st National Day. ADFCA stand at the festival features a map of the country and the national flag made of flowers. The various heritage and cultural programs presented by pupils also seek to celebrate the National Day.

On the last day of the festival, ADFCA will allocate a large car to give the public the chance to decorate it on the occasion of the 41st anniversary. Several exhibitors also are offering similar features on the occasion.

The festival also saw a number of workshops and seminars focusing on sustainable agriculture and so forth. On day one, workshops were held on �The UAE Accreditation System for Organic Products,� �Spreading awareness and knowledge about Date Palms,� �Organic Farming in the UAE� and �The Role of Bio-Fertilizers in Improving the Quality of Dates Crops.� The speakers at the events included top experts from the UAE and abroad.
