The Research and Development division of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) organized an open day with multiple events at the Al Kuwaitat research station in Al Ain in the presence of HE Rashid Mohamed Al Shariqi, Director General, executive directors, directors and managers of various sectors, divisions and departments.
The event was aimed at strengthening the spirit of team work and confidence through direct interaction between the staff and higher management and spreading the spirit of cooperation and collegial relations among the staff.
The open day comprised various programs. The participants visited an exhibition of the products of the research stations and the nursery, watched the ongoing farming activities and took part in a contest for vaccination experience at the nursery.
There was one session for driving tractors, which is a daily practice for farming. The participants also took a round of the fields of citrus fruits and date palms as well as to the green houses.
The participants also visited the laboratory for plant protection at the station and the honey bee and honey unit.
