Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has confirmed that the Italian made olive product Bio Gaudiano, which comes in glass packs and with an expiry date of September2012, is not found in the markets in Abu Dhabi. This is according the reports of ADFCA's inspectors who made field visits soon after the news about the product's recall in some countries appeared. The product, it is said, was recalled because of containing some poisonous substance. The Authority had received a communication from EU RASFF (European Union Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) about the manufacturing company's decision to recall the product.

Instructions had been issued to all the inspectors at the border crossing points to be in the lookout for the product under question to ensure it does not reach the emirate.
