The National Centre for Documentation and Research has honored Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) for setting up an excellent archival system and integrated documents management system.

The Department of Documentation and Records of ADFCA is administering the systems in association with the IT Division. The honor comes in the wake of ADFCA's support for and cooperation with the Centre in accomplishing its mission of organizing governmental archives and achieving remarkable progress in this endeavor as per the recommendation of the Centre.

ADFCA had recently launched a content management project in line with the parameters determined by the Centre for Documentation and Research, which functions as per the Executive Federal Bylaw No. 7 of 2008 on archiving at government entities.  This was for implementing an online archival documentation management at ADFCA as well as the automation of some supportive operations at the Authority such as the management of correspondence, meeting minutes and other functions.

The project aims at content management at ADFCA at all levels to become the pillar of a futuristic project for knowledge management, in addition to turning the paper archives of the authority into an online one and setting up an administrative unit for managing documents and archives.
