The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority promotes UAE dates during SIAL Paris 2012
The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has announced its participation among the UAE national pavilion at SIAL Paris 2012, which is currently held in Paris during the period from October 21st to 25th, 2012.
The national date�s companies, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority have commenced meeting with international food industry leaders to introduce UAE products and open new markets.
Mohamed Jalal Al Reyaysa, Director of Communication and Community Service, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority said: ��ADFCA�s participation at international exhibitions aims to endorse UAE food�s trade particularly dates. Noting that Emirate dates imports and exports had witnessed progressive increase mounting to AED737.4 million dirhams in 2011.�
�The volume of its exports during 2011 was estimated by $ 112.6 million AED, while imports mounted to nearly AED 354.9 million, and the volume of re-exporting dates was valued at around 270 million AED. Which demonstrate growth of overall Emirates dates industry trading is 58%, comparatively from 2007 to 2011.� He added
We are looking during SIAL Paris 2012 to successfully to highlight the benefits of the locally produced dates, its quality & classified types, and its constant availability around the year. SIAL Paris is the world's leading food industry exhibition, where the UAE has embraced its Middle East edition along with the Emirates International Date Palm Festival.
ADFCA�s platform at the exhibition will host number of UAE biggest dates expert companies, including Al Foah, Liwa Dates, Emirates Dates, Emirates Delight Dates Factory and Royal Dates along with a variety of publications on ADFCA, its work mechanism and tasks assigned, as well as on UAE dates industry. It�ll be available in Arabic, English and French, in order to educate the audience about dates and its endless benefits.
