The code of practice aims to improve farm management capabilities and direct producers to follow good practices in managing and operating production of raw milk in small farms and Ezbas in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. These capabilities include requirements related to animal health and animal welfare as well as biosecurity measures that include effective control of pest and management of diseases and injuries, especially those related to udder. The document explains the best methods used for testing of milk, illustrates good practices related to the processing of dairy products and highlights the essential food safety measures that enable production of dairy products that meet the demands of the local market, provide the emirate with safe and high-quality dairy products, and elevate local production to a level that compete with imported products while adopting sustainable and feasible production methods..
