As part of its community service activities, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has organized recently a health awareness and free medical checkup program for its employees.

The program held under the title 'Your Health Is Important To Us' was organized by Auwn Initiative, the service wing of ADFCA- which comes under the supervision of Events & Community Service Section, collaborating with Gulf Diagnostic Center Hospital, Abu Dhabi.

ADFCA employees who are working at three branches – Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region  participated in the three-day program and had free medical checkups.

Commenting on the program, Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director of Communication & Community Service Division at ADFCA said, the program was organized with the objective of making employees aware about their health conditions through a number of medical    checkups.

According to him, the checkups were carried out to evaluate normal health condition as well as to find out  underlying health issues including blood pressure, sugar or obesity.

Auwn Initiative is serving as a service platform for ADFCA employees to carry out community based voluntary activities in and outside the organization. It has executed many events and activities for the benefit of special segments such as patients, people with special needs and senior citizens, he added.

He also praised the activities of  Gulf Diagnostic Center Hospital Abu Dhabi in the field of service to society and expressed his gratitude towards the hospital for its cooperation with ADFCA, which played key in successfully organizing the program.
