ADFCA organizes workshop on Abu Dhabi Strategic Plan

Strategic Planning Division at Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has recently organized a workshop to introduce Abu Dhabi Strategic Plan ahead of preparing ADFCA's strategic plan for 2016-2020 which will go in line with Abu Dhabi government's agenda for Emirate's Plan Development project.

The program held at the ADFCA head quarters was attended by section mangers and representatives of Performance Division.

The workshop highlighted the roles to be played by the concerned sections with a focus on the outcomes envisioned in the plan.

During the sessions, the concept of 'Innovation' was given an important thrust as the UAE has declared 2015 as the year of innovation aiming at promoting innovative practices  as a 'Strategic Option' to support the process of economic growth in the country.

The workshop underscored the need to the active contribution from employees in developing innovative work styles and mechanism to be performed in coming phases to fulfill the vision- food security and sustainable agriculture.

In this regard, Thamer Al Qasimi, Acting Director of Communications & Community Development division said the workshop is of high importance as it comes following an earlier one which discussed about Abu Dhabi's vision that focuses on 'continuity of efforts to build a safe and confident society and to create a sustainable and globally open economy having potential to compete'.

It is noted that, ADFCA is the government authority  in the emirate that assigned with two programs, 'development of agriculture and fisheries sector' and 'ensuring food safety' to be executed in coordination with other concerned entities for the  accomplishment of future vision in attaining food safety and security.
