Auwn Team Visits Special Needs Centre

A delegation from Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA)'s community service arm Auwn recently visited the Future Centre for the Care of Special Needs People as part of its community service activities.

The delegation, which distributed gifts and give aways, was warmly received by the special needs people. The delegation saw the artifacts manufactured by them such as baskets and ceramic pots.  The team also took part with the inmates in some sports and technical activities.

Ali Yousuf Al Saad, Acting Director of Communication and Community Service, said voluntary work was a spontaneous humanitarian gesture that would help the society. "There ADFCA wants to develop voluntary work among its staff, making them pro-active and useful members of the society," he pointed out.

Al Saad explained that ADFCA strengthened its social involvement through voluntary work among various segments of the society with the objective of spreading the spirit of community service. "ADFCA believes in investing in the human potential, which is why Auwn was constituted. It is an attempt at deepening the sense of belonging and social responsibility. This in turn will help meet the most important requirements of the community in dealing with vital social issues," he concluded.
