The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has organized the 8th blood donation campaign themed "My Blood for My Nation" for its staff at its offices in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. In coordination with the Central Blood Bank of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), the campaign came as part of ADFCA's initiatives and activities being held during the Year of Zayed 2018. The authority is organizing those activities to play its role in serving the society, inculcating the spirit of social responsibility among its staff, and encouraging them to participate in the campaigns being carried out by the UAE's various institutions and bodies to improve the quality of life.

The campaign, which is being organized annually, reflects the keenness of ADFCA's employees to serve the nation, as they believe in the importance of preserving social and human values.  Moreover, the campaign contributed to enhancing cooperation with the strategic partners to carry out such initiatives for the public interest. In cooperation with the Central Blood Bank, ADFCA seeks to inculcate the spirit of social responsibility and humanitarian services among the society's individuals and institutions.

The campaign saw a great turnout by ADFCA's staff. They expressed the noble meanings that reflect the spirit of social responsibility by helping patients.  As blood donation can save the lives of many people, the campaign aimed to assist patients who are suffering from several diseases, such as anemia and cancer, as well as accident victims.

Many employees have expressed wishes to participate in such humanitarian activities and programs that may have a real impact on the lives of others.
