As part of varied efforts to take the message of food safety to more sections, a lecture program was held recently for the staff of Al Ain Initial Service Center
The program shed light on the basic principles of food safety as well as on several safety practices to be taken care of during handling of food items in addition to tips for making the day to day shopping more wise and smart.
In the beginning officials introduced about various functions and tasks carried out by Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority in maintaining the food safety levels in Abu Dhabi emirate.
Lecture covered a number of topics pertaining to food safety, including bacteria and its bad impacts and the ways to check contamination of food materials. The risk of washing fruits and vegetables before keeping it in refrigerators and ways to wash them before use were discussed during the program.
