Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has handed over certificates to a number of food facilities in the emirate which were selected for the implementation of Abu Dhabi Occupational Health & Safety Management System approved by Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety & Health Center- OSHAD.

In this respect, Eng. Thamer Al Qasimi, Acting Director of Communication & Community Service Division of ADFCA said:-“The system aims to effectively manage health & Safety issues by creating a mechanism to support organizations monitor hazards in the work place, determine the impact of activities in the facilities, regulate and check them in order to ensure protection of staff and visitors”

It is noted that this system is implemented in line with Law No.42 /2009 issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, pertaining to the implementation of Abu Dhabi Environment, Health & Safety system for entities in the Abu Dhabi emirate.
