Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has participated in the campaign to honor workers organized by Al Ain Center for Care & Rehabilitation joining hands with a number of organization such as  Community Police and Red Crescent as well as with several educational institutions and civil society groups.

Representing ADFCA, Auwn Initiative, the social service arm of ADFCA participated in the program which honored near about 1000 workers at their job sites located in various places of Al Ain.

Each workers were given with gift bags that contained cool water, juices, sun hats and other materials during the honoring program.

In this regard Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director of Communication & Community Service Division of ADFCA said:- "ADFCA has been always in the fore to organize, participate and support social and community based activities in the emirate with the objective of escalating the situation of weaker sections and to integrate them to the center stage of the society. Our social service wing Auwn has put much effort in this regard"

"Even though workers are integral part of any developmental process and there have been no success stories without the active contribution from this section, they are commonly unsung and unrecognized. In line with UAE government policies that stand with workers' aspirations, ADFCA, like other socially-committed organizations came to honor them and to provide with essential commodities they need to stay healthy during the odd season of summer" he said further.

The Auwn initiative is functioning as a service platform for ADFCA employees to carry out community based voluntary activities in and outside the organization. It has organized many events and activities for the benefit of special segments such as patients, people with special needs and senior citizens.
