The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA), has organized an event to support charitable organizations themed "Tabaq Al Khair", in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Farmers' Service Center (ADFSC). The initiative came as part of its agriculture oasis' activities being held at Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival in Al Wathba City. It was attended by H.E. Saeed Al Bahri Al Ameri, Director-General of ADFCA, and some of the authority's leaders and staff. The event is part of ADFCA's activities offered under its Auwn program for community service. The revenues of such activities are distributed to the poor in coordination with charitable and humanitarian organizations in the emirate, to promote values of giving and tender

The event witnessed a significant turnout from the festival's visitors who came to participate in the agricultural oasis. Dozens of food dishes, prepared by a group of ADFCA and ADFSC female employees, were sold to the festival's visitors, to make use of its revenues in supporting the charitable efforts of the country. This reflects the authority's keenness in serving the society and inculcating the culture of volunteerism and giving in its staff.

The oasis' visitors commended the charitable and humanitarian efforts exerted by Abu Dhabi Government in areas of social development. They also praised the valuable community initiatives launched by ADFCA, which contribute to highlighting the noble and good values of the UAE's sons. Moreover, they stressed that these initiatives give an incentive to the society's individuals and institutions to play their role in serving the society.

The authority will organize the second and third edition of Tabaq Al Khair in the agriculture oasis on 18 and 24 January, to enable all female employees to participate. ADFCA has divided the event into three editions to reach all the oasis' visitors to introduce them to the importance of volunteerism and its impact on the life of many segments of society.

Through its Auwn program for community service, ADFCA seeks to enhance its role in serving the society and helping its segments. It has close relations with charitable and humanitarian institutions and bodies concerned with social services in the emirate. Moreover, the authority is an active player in many activities and events carried out by those bodies to advance the social reality in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
