As part of the continuous efforts to disseminate food safety awareness to various sections across the emirate , Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has organized an awareness lecture recently at the second Women's Forum held  under the auspices of Western Region Municipality in Mirfaa.

The lecture which was titled "Safe Food, Safe Family" was delivered by Ayesha Al Hammadi, Inspector at the Educational Institutions Unit -Western Region.

Officials from Municipality, representatives of various departments operating at the Integrated Government Services Center in Tamm and dignitaries from the local community attended the program.

The lecture included a detail description of vision & mission, work scope and activities of ADFCA in the field of maintaining food safety levels in Abu Dhabi emirate.

Starting with basic concepts of foods safety, the lecture shed light on how to handle food right form purchasing from the market up to keeping it in the refrigeration.

As Ramadan is drawing near, several safety tips to be taken care of while handling food during  the fasting were also shared with the audience.

A Question & Answer session followed the lecture.
