A delegation From Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has visited recently the
newly started 120,000 meter square expansion project site in Al Ain Zoo.
The main objective of the visit was to review the plans for food
facilities included in the expansion project.
H. E. Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Control Sector of ADFCA, during the meeting with the
officials at the Projects Department of the Zoo said:- “ADFCA is keen to
strengthen and expand the cooperation with its strategic partners in the area
of food safety in order to accelerate the journey towards fulfilling the vision
of Abu Dhabi government. The visit which comes within the frame work of
integrated cooperation between government bodies for the benefit of the
society, will ensure that the food facilities included in the project are
meeting with the approved food safety standards and requirements, from the very
start of construction”
During the meeting, the project team shared a presentation focusing on
the initial phase of the food facilities project to support the deliberations
between two parties with regards to the implementation of food safety
standards.
Both parties agreed upon to hold meetings periodically to have a
technical consultation on the site, interior and equipments to ensure
conformity with the policies and legislations set forth by ADFCA.
After the meetings the delegation toured the sites and reviewed the
progress of the project.
