ADFCA switches to the second phase of Al Namoos Excellence Award

After successfully finishing the procedures for the first phase of Al Namoos Award for administrative and career excellence which started in 2014 June, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has now switched to its next phase, officials informed.

The Award which allows all organizational divisions and employees of ADFCA to contest comes within its commitment towards strategic principles of Abu Dhabi Government that reflex the spirit of the directives of Gen. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commandant of UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Executive Council pertaining to establishing awarding programs at all government departments in the emirate aiming at building  work environment of competitiveness and performance improvement.

During the first phase, total 151 employees hailing from different divisions, specialties and job grades were nominated out of which 78 were qualified for the second stage.

Likewise, from the 38 projects which were nominated in the first phase 22 were shortlisted for the next.

Nominations and entries for the second phase will be evaluated in the first quarter of the running year and the winners will be announced in the ADFCA's annual event.

It is noted that the winners of ADFCA's Al Namoos Award will be promoted for the race to win the prestigious Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance.

It is learnt that ADFCA has constituted a higher committee to approve the award judgment for ensuring transparency in addition to seeking support from an external independent agency for the evaluation process.
