ADFCA organizes workshop on Career Development Program

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has organized recently a number of workshops to introduce its career development program to employees, in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region.

The career development program aims to study and pinpoint continuous training and development requirements based on the master competencies related to each job categories in ADFCA. The program also aims to create the culture of experience-sharing in order to support knowledge sustainability in addition to frame career development plans for all job titles and to create a sustainable data base.

In this regard, Thamer Al Qasemy, Acting Director of Communication & Community service Division at ADFCA said: " ADFCA has approved recently a cutting-edge skill development and training scheme for its employees to provide them enough opportunity for career growth and development as well as for learning and acquiring expertise which will empower them to go creative and innovative in their varied job responsibilities.

"The workshop which reflexes ADFCA's keen interest in escalating the status of work force, created opportunity for employees to have an insight to the training programs and career development schemes as well as showed them way to the varied possibilities of human capital development and best utilization of its expertise and potential" he said further.

The program consists of three main sets of training and development schemes. The first of it is 'New Employee Program' which deals with employees having Diploma or Bachelors or any other equivalent qualification but lack previous experience in the work. The second is Tamkeen, which is meant to empower employees to carry out their current job responsibilities at its best. Upon completion of Tamkeen program, employees will automatically switch to Career Development for Target Jobs program to be prepared for the second line of work force or to be fit for other competent job placements in ADFCA.
