As part of its community service initiatives, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) fulfilled the wishes of three sick children to own advanced electronic gadgets.
Executed by ADFCA's community service arm 'Auwn' and in association with the Wish Fulfillment Foundation, the gifts were given away to the children at the Hilton Abu Dhabi in the presence of Mohamed Abdullah Al Fardan, Acting Director of Communication and Community Service, Ali Saad, Head of the Events and Social Responsibility department, Naha Al Shurbji, Project Management of Wish Fulfillment and Hani Al Zubaidi, Executive Director of the Wish Fulfillment program, besides the families of the children.
Atif and Ija, both Indian nationals, were gifted an Ipad and a laptop respectively, while Abdul Ghaffar, from Pakistan, was given an Iphone. The children were overjoyed to see their wish fulfilled in the face of their illnesses.
Mohamed Abdullah Al Fardan, Acting Director of Communication and Community Service at ADFCA, said ADFCA was pleased to cooperate with the Wish Fulfillment Foundation to reach out to needy segments of the society. "The 'Auwn program of ADFCA is committed to provide material, moral and emotional support to those sections of the society that are in dire need of help. Providing community services is very much a part of ADFCA's prime objectives," he explained.
The families of the children expressed their gratitude and said the gesture was reflective of the concern of government entities towards all segments of the society in the country.
