Organised by Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, this years edition of SIAL Middle East will bring up the curtain on the First Investment Forum for the Food Industries, a new key event introduced by the organising committee of SIAL Middle East hosted by Abu Dhabi from 24- 26 November 2014.

A new exhibition dedicated to food packaging and processing, Middle East Pack, will also be held along with SIAL Middle East, which will take place in Abu Dhabi at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, and will represent another strong addition to the Show.

SIAL Middle East will benefit from SIAL Groups extensive database of major investors, buyers, suppliers and producers of food from around the globe, to attract them to visit the UAE and establish food related business

ventures of high quality, SIAL Group being the biggest network of food exhibitions in the world, says Mohammad Jalal Al Rayssi, Head of the organising committee. Through organising these two events for the first time within the SIAL Middle East Show the Authority aims at exploring new opportunities for building food factories mainly in Abu Dhabi and in the region in general, and motivating food producers and packagers to showcase at this big gathering, he added.

SIAL Middle East has become a major event worldwide and food multinationals are keen to participate every year. As over 87% of last years exhibitors have booked to return to SIAL Middle East 2014, the Shows area had to be expanded to more than 12000 square metres, i.e. a 19 % increase compared to last years Show which area totalled 10.120 square metres he explained.

In the light of clear strategies and new laws and legislations that led to an infrastructure in line with the requirements and needs of both the public and private sectors to ensure food safety and secure food supply, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has witnessed a big boom in the past few years, which saw the food industry rise to world class new levels, creating the perfect environment for multinationals to pursue their business ambitions, Al Rayssi said.
