As part of the commitment towards society and being part of its social responsibility program, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has organized welcome programs for the first graders across the emirate who just started their school life recently, under the title "Let's Welcome Them"

More than thousand students including boys and girls participated in the programs held in fun-filled atmosphere, during a period of seven days.

Friendly competitions and other recreational activities were held and participants were given away gifts at the end of the event.

This year, Auwn Initiative- social services platform of ADFCA employees who is convening the events with the cooperation of Education & Awareness Section mainly focused on care & rehabilitation centers for special needs students across the emirate in a move to be in line with government policy to promote initiatives that strengthen integration of special needs sections to the mainstream of the society.

During the programs, ADFCA inspectors shared with the kids basic principles of food safety in a manner that best suits students in their tender ages.

This is the second consecutive year that ADFCA organizes such events to make the beginning of school life for kids more appealing and ever-memorable.
