ADFCA marks UAE Martyrs’ Day with several activities

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has marked this year's Martyrs' Day with a bouquet of activities held at the headquarters in the presence of high-placed officials including H.E. Rashid Al Shariqi, Director General of the authority.

On this occasion Al Shariqi said: "Martyrs day is the day of loyalty and belonging to this great land. It is the day for full-filing our commitment towards our martyrs and for reaffirming our pride in our wise leadership and in our national and Arab identity. On Martyrs Day we commemorate the enormous sacrifices and true championships made by UAE citizens in the field of right and duty being part of full-filling the pledge with God Almighty to protect the nation and preserve its wealth and to keep the UAE flag fluttering high offering safety and security to the citizens and the residents and adding a glittering history of courage and giving to others"

"On this important national day, we reaffirm our determination to take our nation to newer heights and to perform more sacrifices for the progress of the country and its people in line with the leadership directives by HH. Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and HH. Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces. November 30 each year will continue to mark the sacrifices by our brave martyrs who taught us great lessons of caring and giving as well as the values of fraternity, humanity and helping the needy" he continued.

In his address he praised the families of the martyrs for the brave and daring lives of their sons whose lessons will traverse across generations, adding pride and glory to the UAE people.

He said, the life of the martyrs should be considered as a glorious chapter in the history of UAE and a great example for the brave men who lived for their homeland.

Various cultural and traditional activates were organized being part of the Martyrs' Day.
