ADFCA celebrates Emirati Women’s Day in the presence of top leadership

Highlighting the role Emirati women have played in the overall progress and success of the nation, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has celebrated Emirati Women's Day at its headquarters located in MBZ City.

The program, supervised by the Strategy & Performance Sector was attended by the high-placed officials of the authority, including the director General H.E. Rashid Mohamed Al Shariqi and executive directors.

In his address, Al Shariqi said: "the Emirati Women's Day is celebrated on 28th August every year all over the country in line with the directive of H.H Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Mother of The Nation, to designate a day for celebrating womanhood in UAE and her achievements. We celebrate the Emirati women's innovations, contributions and achievements which are an integral part of the advancement and progress the UAE is witnessing these days. The women in the UAE have never been behind the man in any of the fields such as science, research or innovation"

"Now, UAE is in the top among the global nations in the area of empowering women, thanks to the stand and policies of the UAE government under the leadership of the President, H.H. Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan" he continued.

He said the leadership of UAE has always been keen on admiring women and providing her opportunities to develop and advance towards success.

UAE has initiated countless programs and projects for educating and empowering women so that Emirati women enjoy a distinguished position among their counterparts in global countries, he added.

He greeted the President of UAE and other leaders on the occasion and thanked for their seamless efforts to create better social status for women in the country.
