ADFCA celebrates Emirati Women’s Day

In response to the call made by the Mother of the Nation, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, to observe August 28 as UAE Women's Day, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has organized a lecture program highlighting the status of women in the country.

Dr. Maryam Matar, Chairman and Founder of the UAE Genetic Diseases Association delivered the lecture at ADFCA Headquarters in MBZ City which was attended by the female employees of the authority.

The lecture shed light on the great contribution done by Emirati woman in the making of modern UAE, standing very next to the men in all major fields and sectors.

She said observation of such a day comes in order to underscore and celebrate women's dedication, efforts, achievements- which are not less than that of men- in all walks of Emirati life, including the civil and military activities.

HE. Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi, Executive Director of Control Sector honored the guest at the end of the session.
