GITEX 2015: ADFCA stand witnesses big visitor turn out

As the activities of GITEX 2015 came to an end, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority stand in the event recorded good number of visitors including technology experts and general public hailing from across the world.

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority participated in the event to showcase its latest technology based services, under the banner of Abu Dhabi e-government which comprised 24 government entities in the emirate.

"Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has always shown interest to participate in important invents, both local and international, aiming to get in to a wider audience and to show the world what we have introduced in the area of government services with a focus on the culture of knowledge sharing. Need not to say that GITEX is an amazing platform to be in to get connected with global industry stakeholders and technology experts" said Ali Yousef Al Saad, Acting Director of ADFCA Communication& Community Service Division, in this connection.

He said utilizing technological advances at its best in the area of services has been always a priority for ADFCA and much effort has been exerted in this regard in line with the directives of Abu Dhabi leadership that aims to transform the way government entities deliver their services.

"This time we have exhibited two services which may substantially save time and effort for customers and stakeholders and even for employees. The first in this list is the GIS Roadmap and its implementation, which is about introducing GIS and the spatial dimension in ADFCA business and operations, by spatially enabling ADFCA services. The second is the Control Management & Customer Service Program that aims to automate the field inspection process using risk based approach to facilitate task dissemination. Also featured was the updated version of ADFCA Smart Mobile Application, with including more services, mainly in the area of agriculture and animal wealth" he explained.

He thanked all those who contributed in the success of ADFCA stand in the event and hoped that ADFCA would come up with more technology based services and applications in the next edition.
