Awareness get together for camel breeders

Animal Wealth Sector at Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has organized recently the second edition of awareness get together targeting animal farmers in the emirate.

The programs which comes being part of efforts to enhance the effectiveness of bio-security system to prevent diseases and pest, was attended by H.E. Adil Al Zaabi, Executive Director of ADFCA Animal Wealth Sector.

In his opening remarks H.E. Adil Al Zaabi explained about the important role ADFCA is playing in the efforts to develop a sustainable livestock sector in the emirate by offering best veterinary services, treatment, vaccination and prevention programs as well as awareness activities. He also referred to the global position Abu Dhabi is now enjoying in the field of animal wealth with a number of global events being hosted in the capital recently. He counted the recent decision to establish a referral laboratory in animal diseases as well as the hosting of international conference on animal diseases in Abu Dhabi as two remarkable milestones the emirate set in the global livestock scene recently.

Veterinary doctors who were present in the programs delivered talks on various kinds of animal diseases especially on those which related to camels.

During the open discussion that followed the talks, officials noted down a numbers of suggestions and opinions raised by the participants.

Apart from ADFCA officials, animal production experts at Salim Jaber Al Ansari animal farm in Al Watba also participated in the program.
