ADFCA partakes in GITEX for the third consecutive year

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority is all set to participate this year's GITEX exhibition to be held at Dubai World Trade Center between 18-22 October. ADFCA is participating the exhibition for the third consecutive year and being an active partner in the Abu Dhabi e-Government stand, an umbrella of 24 government organizations, which carries the slogan-'Digital Technology for a Better Future.'

On this occasion, Ali Yousef Al Saad, Acting Director of Communications & Community Service Division at ADFCA said: -"ADFCA has been always keen to participate in global events and exhibitions with the objective of communicating with wider audience and to showcase its latest technologies, e-services and applications that contributed in winning optimized satisfaction from customers as well strategic partners. We believe that GITEX is a perfect platform to be at to exhibit our services that developed in line with strategy of Abu Dhabi Smart Government which has transformed the way government entities deliver services to the public"

He said, this year, ADFCA stand will be exhibiting two systems developed within its program to improve services with the objective of contributing in the creation of a sustainable food and agriculture sector and in sync with the rapid economic growth in the UAE.

According to him ADFCA has already developed several applications that would serve the business across all sectors, and at all levels of operations, leading to great deal of benefits including better planning of field operations such as inspection, agriculture and veterinary services, effective resources utilization, enhancing collaboration with the stakeholders, increasing community awareness, helping in risk planning and emergency response, optimizing facilities management and finally enhancing decision-making by executives by providing analytical and interactive maps and dashboards.

He opined that the technologies developed by ADFCA and were used in the service areas such as food safety, agriculture and livestock have proved to be substantially saving time and effort for its customers and employees.

It is noted that during the past years, ADFCA has added many awards and global recognitions to its credit in the field of Information Technology related services and initiatives. CIO 100 Award for IT innovations for the year 2015, .GOV Award-2015 for Best Information Technology & Communication Department in Abu Dhabi Government, Excellence Award 2015 for the implementation of Geographic Information System and International Business Excellence Award in best government service category are a few among them.
