Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, being part of its efforts to launch programs to support the concept of 'food control' at its best, organized a workshop recently for companies that working in the field of imparting training to those who handle food. Representatives of ADFCA approved examination centers also participated in the workshop aimed to spread the clear understanding of 'control' which is an important factor that serves ADFCA vision and mission.

The workshop shed light mainly on the newly designed modules and materials by ADFCA in order to train those who handle food, across the emirate. The new forms of training covers a range of topics related to food safety such as the basics and best practices related to food handling. The training course is also focusing to help workers to acquire latest information and essential skills in the area of food safety considering their varied educational levels and languages.

The newly developed examination method were also discussed during the sessions. Ample time was allocated to hear from the participants about the implementation of new training and examination methods. Officials cleared questions from the part of participants and noted down important suggestions and opinion raised in the open session.
