Food Control Division at Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has met the applicant members of Productive Families Project at three different programs held in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region.
The consultative meetings which were organized in cooperation with Khalifa Foundation mainly aimed to educate the aspirant members of the project on the health requirements and other regulations pertaining to food related production practices.
After detailing the existing rules, the officials also heard questions, opinions and suggestions from the participants which will be reviewed for further studies.
A total of 400 women participated in the programs.
The Productive Families Project was launched in 1997 as a pioneering program to support the traditional products made by Emirati women from their home. The project seeks to empower the Emirati women economically and to contribute towards better living standards of the Emirati families.
