Lecture programs in connection with Plantation Week
 

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority organized a number of awareness lectures on March 7 and 8 targeting school children in the emirate, in connection with the ongoing 36th Plantation Week activities.

The lectures organized in schools in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain reflexes the authority's keenness to spread the message of sustainable growth in agricultural field through launching comprehensive awareness programs.

ADFCA officials who led the lectures, brought in to the attention of young students the importance of plantation efforts in the UAE and how it would benefit the environment and society.

The lecturers highlighted the importance of making use of spaces in the home gardens to cultivate fruit plants and to contribute in the efforts to increase the total volume of green space.

The young minds were enlightened on best practices in agricultural projects as well as the best management technics for gardens and home agriculture.

A total of 200 saplings were distributed during these programs.
