In line with the directive of HH. Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai, to observe third of November- the day on which HH. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan assumed the office as president of the UAE- as UAE Flag Day, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has organized several activities at its headquarters and other offices in various locations in the emirate.

In the celebrations held in the headquarters in Mohammed Bin Zayed city, HE, Rashid Al Shariqi, Director General of ADFCA hoisted the flag in the full presence of employees including executive directors and division directors.

Raising flags high on their hands, the employees proudly honored the flag while it was up reflecting the meaning of the slogan selected for the celebrations which is "Raise It high…Raise it Proud". The back ground music of national anthem added much color to the ceremony which reflected the dedication, loyalty and commitment towards excellence the nation stands for.

In his address to the employees, HE. Rashid Al Shariqi said: "For each and every citizen, Third November is a special day for reaffirming his loyalty and compassion towards the nation and its visionary leadership. The fluttering UAE flag, high on the sky, with its eye-catchy colors, tells the story of this nation which transformed dreams to reality, desert to oasis and impossible to possible. The flag fills in our heart a sense of patriotism and the essence of true Emirati identity which enables us stand intact before any odds with much pride and bravery"

"The visionary thoughts and systematic moves done under the leadership of HH. Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the nation, empowered us in all aspects and now we are in the frontline of the global countries in terms of prosperity of the society and progress of the economy. When the visionary leadership met a dedicated and loyal people's force, thoughts transformed to plans and plans transformed to projects which brought in big achievements. A leadership keen on the welfare of their people and people who are loyal and committed to realize leaders' dreams did wonders of which examples are rare in the history" he continued.
