Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has celebrated the 45th National Day in the presence of H.E. Rashid Al Shariqi, Director General and other high-placed officials with a variety of programs and activities which highlighted love and loyalty towards the leadership and nation.

During his address to the employees, Al Shariqi said: "We are celebrating the 45th anniversary of the establishment of UAE at a time when the country has become strong and matured in addition to becoming an example for the whole world in the area of humanity and prosperity. All praises to Almighty God and all gratitude towards our visionary leadership of HH Sheikh Zayed, father of the nation, and the rulers of other emirates in that time who succeeded to unite hearts before uniting the land. The result of their seamless efforts indeed brought in pride and success to all of us which we still continue to enjoy. On this day, we should take pledge to keep the flag of union fly high on the skies and to raise our country as a unique model for an ever-growing and thriving modern nation"

He offered special greetings to the president, HH Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the joyful and proud occasion and recalled that he followed the footsteps of his father and led the country through the paths of innovation and excellence.

Celebrations started with the collective recitation of national anthem and contained various heritage, traditional and cultural sessions and activities including competitions, stage performances, exhibitions and food distribution.

Celebrations were also held in AL Ain City and Western Region branches apart from the headquarters located in Mohamed Bin Zayed City.
