ADFCA organizes ‘Glimpses Of Hope’ Day for special needs children at Delma Mall

Collaborating with Skill Development Center for Disabled and in cooperation with Delma Mall management, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) organized a special Day on 24th February dedicated for children with special needs, filled with several activities.

The program, titled as Glimpses of Hope was a humanitarian move designed and executed by the Auwn Team, functioning as a social service arm of ADFCA employees.

More than fifty children with moderate disabilities who fall under the age group of 4-18 participated in the competitions and other cultural activities under the supervision of some top officials of ADFCA and with the support of Auwn volunteers.

Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director of Communication & Community Service Division at ADFCA said the program came as a component to the community based and humanitarian initiatives of ADFCA which is carried out by the Auwn Team in various parts of Abu Dhabi.

He said such programs reflects ADFCA's commitment towards the society and its deep interest in initiating and supporting humanitarian activities in favor of the weaker sections of the society.

The Auwn Team has been exemplary in its activities to serve the society which made them a model before all government organizations in channelizing the social awareness and commitment of the employees towards right and effective ways, he pointed.

Through various initiatives the Auwn Team launched so far after its inception, it could positively drive the attention of the society towards sections otherwise may lay uncared as well as spread the message of the oneness of the UAE people, he added further.
