As part of its committed efforts towards strengthening the food and agriculture sector, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority ( ADFCA) has joined with United Arab Emirates University to sponsor its College of Food & Agriculture Festival now going on with a bouquet of activities and events.
The programs which started on 23rd of this month will continue till Wednesday under the title 'Agriculture: Our health and Culture'.
The festival aims at introducing specialization programs of the College of Food & Agriculture to a wider circle including general public as well as will pave the way to expand the span of cooperation between the university and various government and private entities.
With various activities on the card including exhibitions, the festival will highlight date and palm agriculture, future of organic farming and veterinary medicine in addition to other attractions such as Nutrition Education Week and various food projects and cultural events.
While commenting on the participation, Thamer Al Qasimi, Acting Director of Communication & Community Service Division at ADFCA said, ADFCA has been always in the front to support the College of Food & Agriculture in its activities in its capacity as the official authority in the food and agricultural sectors.
According to him ADFCA experts supported the festival by providing valuable and latest scientific knowledge pertaining to the field of food, agriculture and livestock.
