HE Rashed Mohamed Al Shariqi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA), honored yesterday the three divisions that won the Best Intranet Site Award during a function held at the Authority's premises.

While the Legislations Divisions won the first prize, it was followed by the Statistics and Analysis Division and the Facilities and Services Division for the second and third prizes.

The Award is an initiative from ADFCA towards smart government. It is an annual award that carries attractive prizes. This comes in the framework of ADFCA's efforts developing systems and programs for online services.

The Information and Communication Technology Division drafted the Award's document and prepared the terms and conditions in a way that matches the requirements and methods of ADFCA. This was followed by calls for entries and assessment of the participating sites in both Arabic and English and the announcement of the winners.

The ICT Division recently came up with a bouquet of excellent online services for the staff, enabling the staff to avail of their smart applications for personal information, salary slips, bank account details, attendance, leave, home loans, policies and procedures.

ADFCA recently expanded its smart application infrastructure to include six devices distributed across its main building in Mohamed bin Zayed City, branches in Al Ain and the Western Region, Al Wathba and Al Qatara veterinary hospitals.

The self service devices also offered a number of administrative services to the staff, such as salary certificates and other documents in both Arabic and English.

The coming period will see the inclusion of more transactions and services in these applications so the staff and customers get to save time and effort.
