Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) took part in the 'Walk 2013' events organized by the Imperial College of Diabetics, London in Abu Dhabi. Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and the Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the event was supported by Daman Insurance.
ADFC's participation consisted of sponsorship through the purchase of 1000 tickets and their distribution among the staff to encourage them to go and participate. The event was meant to create awareness about diabetics and the need to follow health patterns and an exercise regime suitable to fight it.
The ADFCA staff members who took part in the event expressed their appreciation for the event and for the eagerness of national organizations to fight chronic diseases.
