Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has furnished the Authority's self service kiosk with a variety of customer service functions that customers and the general public can benefit from. Administered by ADFCA's Human Resources Division and used so far only for employee services, the kiosk can now be used by customers for speedy online services.

ADFCA now has a total of five kiosks, one each in ADFCA's main office in Mohamed bin Zayed City, ADFCA Branches in Al Ain and the Western Region, and the Veterinary Hospitals in Al Wathba and Al Qatara.

Mohamed Al rayssi, Director of Communication and Community Service at ADFCA, said the kiosks were designed for speedy and easy to use functions, in addition to being functional round the clock. "The services are linked to ID cards. The kiosks are highly reliable. They are also designed to maintain utmost confidentiality as it automatically closes even if the user has forgotten to sign out after obtaining the services," he explained.

The services offered to the public through the kiosks include some agricultural services such as enquiries about the status of the agricultural services card, the farms, monthly entitlements, outstanding balance, feed purchase, financial support and the status of the farm. The kiosks also provide veterinary services, such as appointments to see veterinarians, results of laboratory tests and information on food establishments.

Alrayssi said the kiosks will be fitted with many more functions in the days to come to make it much easier for the staff and the customers.
