​Chicken Nuggets available in Abu Dhabi is safe to use and contains nothing that harms human health, a statement recently issued by Abu Dhabi food control Authority said.

The statement came after ADFCA received a number queries from public following a recent spread of a video that showing production of chicken nuggets.

ADFCA categorically said the study of the case revealed what the video contained is nothing but some false information.

Mr. Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director of Communication & Community Service Division at ADFCA said all food stuff including chicken and other meat products  reach in the Abu Dhabi markets only after undergoing stringent control procedure to confirm if they are complying with the approved standards and criteria.

Also, the meat used in the preparation of such food products would be cofirmed Halal according to Islamic principles by systematically verifying the certificates produced along with products as to whether they are issued by authentic Islamic councils approved by UAE embassies in the countries from where the food stuff shipped from.

Mr. Rayssi  asserted ADFCA's commitment to follow and carry out close studies on  any food safety issues, being raised among the society and that it is constantly communicating with customers -as part of its efforts to ensure safety of food products in the emirate- through a number of channels including Abu Dhabi Government Contact Center.

He urged public to support ADFCA's efforts by reporting the authorities when anything found harming the food safety levels in the emirate calling at the Toll Free Number of Abu Dhabi  Government Contact Center, 8005555.

"Ensured its frequent appearance in the media with adequate information and clarifications to various food related issues, ADFCA is now communicating with public through its social media networks too. For any clarifications regarding rumors spread among public, related to food sector, customers may visit the special page designated for that on the ADFCA  website which is giving updated information all the times" Mr. Rayssi added.
