ADFCA organises awareness lecture for staff in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has organised an awareness lecture for staff entitled "Stop the Infection," at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. It was presented by Fedaa Al Saleh, senior officer for communicable diseases at the authority. Executed by ADFCA's community service arm 'Auwn' and in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Health Authority, the lecture was attended by H.E. Mozah Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Control Sector. The lecture reflected the authority's keenness to raise awareness of its staff and educate them about communicable diseases and ways of their prevention.



The lecture, which witnessed a wide participation of ADFCA's employees, aimed at raising their awareness about the most prominent communicable diseases,  symptoms and causes of infection, and means of preventing and eliminating the spread these diseases. The attendees were introduced to the authority's efforts and activities to reduce the transmission of communicable diseases, through organising vaccination and awareness campaigns throughout the year, as well as the travel clinic, which provides vaccinations and preventive medicines for travelers to countries some serious diseases are spread.



The attendees welcomed the important role played by the Health Authority to educate the community's members on knowledge and culture necessary to maintain public health. They also hailed ADFCA's efforts to raise awareness of citizens about the best practices to avoid infection. The discussion and questions also showed their interaction during the lecture.


Organizing this lecture reflects ADFCA's strategy to raise awareness of its employees on the healthy practices in the work place in order to build healthy workplace environment. It also came as part of the authority's commitment to maintain the health of its employees, through cooperation with several health institutions, and organizing many health programs to educate and raise awareness of employees and motivate them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
