The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has ordered to shut down China Wall Express Restaurant – Al Ain second branch, for not completing the license procedures needed for practicing its business activities.

In this regard, Eng. Thamer Al Qasemi, ADFCA Spokesperson said the report of Food Control Division stated that the administrative closure decision is a result of the failure of the restaurant's officials to renew its license. He added that ADFCA's inspectors have made several visits to the restaurant, in which they asked its officials to rectify the status of their facility, but to no avail.

"The restaurant would remain closed until rectifying the cause of closure and completing license procedures necessary to practice its activity. ADFCA's inspectors have issued a final warning and handed over two violation tickets to the facility's officials for the same reasons in February and this month before making the punitive closure decision," added Al Qasemi.

"The closure and detection of the observed violations come within ADFCA's inspection efforts to enhance food safety pillars in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Such efforts reflect the authority's strict control applied by its inspectors. All food facilities are subject to periodic inspections drives to ensure their compliance with all food safety requirements," Al Qasemi clarified.

He urged the general public to contact ADFCA for reporting any violations or suspicious food products in any food facility by calling Abu Dhabi Government Contact Center at 800555, to enable the authority's inspectors to take the necessary action, which will help to provide safe and healthy food for all citizens across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
