Kazakhstan's Ambassador meets Director-General of ADFCA

His Excellency Saeed Al Bahri Salem Al Ameri, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has met with H.E. Kairat Lama Sharif, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the UAE, during his visit to the authority's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two sides in areas of food security, agricultural sustainability, and exchanging the best practices and expertise in addressing desertification, forest degradation, soil erosion and salinity problems. The meeting reflects the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries. It came in light of the active membership of the UAE in the Islamic Organisation for Food Security in Kazakhstan, which includes 75 member states.

H.E. Saeed Al Ameri welcomed Mr. Kairat Lama Sharif, stressing ADFCA's keenness to stimulate intraregional investment in the agricultural sector and food security. He pointed to the advanced legislation adopted by Abu Dhabi Emirate in areas of food and agriculture, and its great support for investment. Al Ameri also reviewed the authority's most important experiences in agricultural sustainability and food safety.

Furthermore, Al Ameri invited Mr.Sharif and the diplomatic mission's members to visit SIAL Middle East, which will be held in Abu Dhabi on 10-12 December, to explore the diverse investment opportunities and promising partnerships offered by the exhibition, as it hosts more than 30 international pavilions and hundreds of investors and senior buyers.

For his side, H.E. Kairat Lama Sharif hailed ADFCA's efforts and Abu Dhabi Emirate achievements in all fields, particularly in areas of food safety and agriculture. He reviewed the most important opportunities offered by his country and ways to enhance economic and trade relations between the two countries in various fields, including food security, railways and transportation, thereby benefiting both countries and peoples.
