Abu Dhabi, April 17, 2011: Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has ordered the closure of Al Tazaj Fakieh Grilled Chicken (License No. 1043939), a restaurant at the Hamdan Centre building on Hamdan Bin Mohamed Street, for repeated violation of food safety rules.

Mohamed Jalal Al Reyaysa, Director of Communication and Community Service at ADFCA, said the decision to close down the restaurant was taken after it continued to flout the rules despite many warnings.

"We are revealing the name of the restaurant so the public takes appropriate decision to protect themselves from unsafe food. We warn all food establishments that do not comply with the rules and regulations that we will not only take stringent action against them, but reveal their names to the public as well," he added, calling upon the general public to bring to the authority's notice any violation of food safety rules they come across.
