Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority in cooperation with Dubai Municipality, supports the Fourth Conference of Food Safety, which will be held on 24-26 February 2009 Dubai World Trade Center. The conference aims to strengthen food safety standards in the Middle East, and the harmonization of food safety standards in the world every year. The overall focus of the conference program is to address the issues affecting the industry in the implementation of international policies for food safety.

The theme of this year's conference is "Food Safety in the light of food security." Speakers will include lecturers from within and outside the UAE to provide information on a number of issues related to food safety that lead to waste of food, and provide solutions to enhance food safety, and the same time reducing waste in food
