Lecture on Autism

Marking UAE celebrations of the World Autism Awareness Day in April, ADFCA hosted in its headquarters a lecture on autism delivered by Dr. Wael Ghuneim, PhD in Clinical Psychology, from Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs.

Dr. Ghuneim explained autism causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and therapy in addition to the proper ways to deal with autistic children.

The lecture, as part of ADFCA ‘Awn’ community service program targeting residents including people with autism across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, was meant to highlight autistic patients, the problems they suffer from, and how to integrate them into the community across the education and jobs in order to enable them to contribute to serving their community and country.
